Car rental when staying at Poly

When we check out of the Polynesian we are going to rent a car for a few days to do a few things in Orlando before flying out of Tampa. What would be the most convenient place for my husband to go
and pick up a car as far as taking Disney transportation? Thanks for your help.

Shades of Green is walkable from the Poly. They have an Alamo/National counter. Or, you could do the Car Care Center (also Alamo/National).

OK, will try them. When I originally looked for rates from MCO thrifty/dollar was cheaper. I thought someone said there was a dollar/thrifty from DTD.
Anyone know where there is one there?

Dollar has a location in the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort near Down Town Disney. Easy walking distance from the DTD bus stop. Info is:

The national/alamo rental center at the car care center has a shuttle that will pick you up at any disney resort.

We rented a car this summer after checking out of Poly, so that we could drive to Port Canaveral for our cruise. I don't remember what DH did. He's out of town right now. I'll see if I can find out what he did.

DH was still up. He rented a car through Enterprise's web site. The location then picked him up at the Poly. I remember it not being far from the hotel, because we didn't wait too long for him to return.

Thanks everyone. I have been pricing the cars from the different agencies for the 3 days that we need it. I have gotten a $115 price, all in, for the rental from thrifty. It's for a ford focus
and I know it will be small but I don't plan on us packing a lot and the only drive we will have with the luggage in the car is when we go from Orlando to Tampa. I will sit will luggage on my
lap to save $100. I will keep looking because the price could go down.
