Pick up WDW, use for 3 days - Canaveral - mco after Wonder.
Total rental: $123.00 inc taxes etc - plus $40 Canaveral parking - plus $30 gas = $193.00
Offers unlimited conveniece, flexibility and we can get back to mco early in time for our flights.

Just make sure an economy size will fit all the required suitcases for the week. I admit I'm a terrible packer and always take way more than I need, but no way would our luggage fit in an economy even if the family would. But sounds great for a small family or a couple. I love having the flexibility of a car when on vacation. We always rent one even if we aren't likely to leave the resort often.

Actually, Alamo has some good rates going now. I have an SUV reserved for 2 days after our cruise. It beat the deal I previously had with Dollar.

No, Alamo does not have an office near the port. Nor does Dollar. The scenario being discussed does not involve the one-way rentals but renting from the airport and paying for parking the car at the port while on the cruise. If you can get a cheap-enough weekly rate such as the ones being discussed, this <i><b>may</b></i> be a cheaper option than the one-way rental scenario.

I'll have to check into that. I have a premium car through Avis for $310 with tax for a week. I just assumed it would be too expensive to consider parking the rental for a full 7 days while we are on the cruise.
