Car rental rates dropping for April

FYI- Car rental rates on Oahu are dropping like a stone in the last week for our trip in April. We have a mini van rented through Costco for 11 days and now it is down to $375 for the whole trip! It started out at over $600! Between last week and tonight it dropped $184. I think it's less now than what we paid in 2013.

$200 for an suv? That's so cheap! We found a mini van for $565 through Costco for only 9 nights! You guys got some great deals!

Costco with an Alamo rental for 11 days.

We use Alamo all the time with a Costco code visa code. Check daily and usually get a car for around $100 entire stay or minivan for $200. Right now for 9 days I have a SUV for $184

where can one get these costco codes? are they in those booklets they send you in the mail? we're costco members too.

I usually get them off the Costco web site the main contract code for Costco is 7014627 which also gives you an additional driver for free! And then I add the Visa coupon code or any other coupon that has a great discount to it!

Use the Costco Travel website under Rental Cars. Check the rates everyday because they do drop..at least they did for me each time.

Tip - If you book through Costco and Alamo...Use the computer Kiosks when you enter on the left side...do not wait in line for an agent. You will save a ton of time by doing this.

Must just be April. I just checked for Msy when we will be there for 11 days. The car I reserved through Expedia a couple of months ago is 100 less than the cheapest car I could find on Costco.

The prices have now gone back up again. Just checked and my mini-van is now priced $220 higher than when I booked. Expedia is now showing another $56 over the $220 Costco pricehike. Glad I caught the price drop when I did!

Yes! I always use the computer kiosks when they work saves time than standing in the line!!
Alamo website now offers online check in, skip the lines and kiosks, you head straight to the car lot pick a car and go! Im going to try this out in a few weeks!

I rented a Jeep Wrangler through Enterprise for 7 days in April for $250. Yeay!

yes, it's on site. 2-minute walk from the lobby if you are facing the ocean. it's a little counter outside.

and this was a great tip! we did this last week and it was a breeze! got off the bus, showed the printout from my computer, got our car and were out of the parking lot within 5 minutes and on our way to aulani, woohoo!!!
