Car rental questions and more

Greetings group,

Hi my name is Dani and I'm a Disneyholic it's been 2 years & 3 days....... Wait wrong introduction

Anyway onto the question. We are getting ready for a trip to Disney and my DH got passes to the Kennedy Space Center through our congress person and we are heading to Orlando a couple days before our check in at Disney to take advantage of this. This is where the problem comes up we are looking for a car rental and the inexpensive rentals seem to be out of the airport with a return their as well so how does one go about getting from the airport to Disney World can you use Magic Express even if it's not the day your flight came in we are staying at Pop Century or is it worth paying a bit more for the rental to be able to return the vehicle at Disney.

The second question do you suggest staying at a hotel near the Space Center or driving back and forth from Kississimme? And what hotels are both well priced as well as nice at both location that you would suggest?
