Car Rental Question

We are going to WDW from Nov 4-8, and are planning on renting a car from Orlando airport.

Does anybody have any tips would like to share for us to get the best rate possible? I've checked for days with Alamo, National and Budget (websites) and the best I've got so far is $118.32 (fees and taxes included) for an Economy.

$105.52, taxes and fees included from Thrifty using AU02 code. (That's A U zero two). Your rental must be for 5 days though. Is there any way you can 'play around' with your pick up and drop off times to make another day show up on your rental?

Also might give Priceline.com a try. I've seen people get an economy for only $11 a day.

That sure helps! I don't know about working the pick-up/drop-off times to include a 5th day....but I know I could use an additional day at WDW Like I need an excuse to do that!

Coming from Panama, do you need auto insurance or does yours at home work here too?

I can find you an economy with full insurance for $130.60.

I checked E-Z Rent a car and their price is $59 base $85.29 with taxes fees added on. They are not in the airport but I am sure there is a free shuttle. You can also upgrade to a compact for $1 a day or a mis-size for $2 a day. Good Luck!

My insurance does not work out there but I get coverage by using a credit card. What I don't get is "liability" coverage, although I was reading from one of the rental company's website that the basic rate does provide some liability coverage. I'll check a little further into that because it really adds up at around $15 per day.

Thanks for the offer! I got an offer from one of our local travel agents of $127.54 for an economy with Budget with insurance. But I'm not getting the insurance I really need (liability) included in the price.

Hmmm!!! I've checked with Alamo, Budget, National, Thrifty, E-Z and Avi$$...but not with Dollar...I'll try that one too
