Car rental price?

We are looking at renting a car through Hertz. Should I book now or wait (trip is in June)? Is my price more likely to go up or down closer to the time of the trip? Will Hertz do anything to adjust the price if it changes? Does anyone know what Hertz's cancellation policy is (still crossing my fingers for a DING)? TIA

You should book now. That will lock in your price as a maximum.

You will have to keep checking (Hertz won't tell you) to see if the price goes down. If it does, simply cancel and rebook with no penalty.

Booking it now means it can't go up.

There is no cancellation policy for car rentals. You don't book with a credit card, so you have no downside.
