Car Rental places close to Uni resorts?

GOOD MORNING UNIVERSAL RESORTS....oh sorry, thought I was in another thread there for a moment .

Anyway, we will be driving down from Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach on Sunday & then our family will be staying at Royal Pacific. My mom is riding with us from that area down to Orlando. She then wants to pick up a rental car in Orlando & go visit some friends/relatives for a couple of days, first in The Villages and then down to Tampa.

So I have a couple of concerns...
I know that Hertz has desks at the Universal resorts, but I just checked out their rates....yikes! Can we all say "expensive" boys & girls?
Are there any good (& reasonably-priced) car rental places that are fairly close to RPR? I was thinking that she might like to freshen up at our resort before she gets on the road. Didn't want to just dump Grandma(so to speak) at some car rental place that turned out to be faaaaaaaaaaar away from our resort or faaaaaaaaaaar away from the major highways.

Are any of these places conveniently accessible to get her on her way to The Villages? I don't want my mom to have to drive 20 minutes to get from the car rental location to the interstates/Toll Road/whatever.

There is a Budget Rental less than 1 mile away, and they offer pick-up service (if arranged in advance). We got a 24 hour rate of $46 during Presidents Week in Feb--much cheaper than Hertz. The location code for that Budget is M04, and is called the "Holiday Inn Universal."

I went with the Holiday Inn/Universal Budget location, diodn't even realize that was the one that Sue recommended. The RPR Concierge also told me it was close to Royal Pacific. Budget's price for a three-day rental was about $150 total. Now compare this to the Hertz desks at Uni...their price was over $300 for the same timeframe! Actually, I think it was closer to $400 ...
