Car Rental - picking up/dropping off - time

Just a quick one for ya (I am a rental car newbie) - Not sure what time to enter when booking pick up and drop off time.

Does it matter much? for example, if flight arrives MCO at 11:19 what time to you enter as your pick up time? If I put in 11:30 and get there at Noon is that usually OK? Or if I put in Noon and get there earlier, will I have to wait?

(I know, I probably need to stop making myself crazy over this stuff!)

Hi Mary,

Yes, you are making yourself crazy!

It's mainly so the companies know how to charge you. For example, in most cases, if you picked up a car on Tuesday at noon and returned it on Wednesday at 9M, you would be charged for two days. But if you returned it at 11:AM Wednesday, you would only be charged for one day.

Just put in the closest half hour after your flight arrives...
