Car rental in Port Canaveral

I'm sure this has been asked and answered a ton of times, but I'm at work and can't get caught using the internet to look for answers....

Want to rent a car after our cruise because we are not leaving Orlando until Sunday. Refuse to use Hertz...(horrible experiences). Can anyone tell me what other rental companies are close to the terminal and how do we get to it?

We are planning on using budget on our cruise in September.

We used Budget when to rent when we returned from our March cruise. They picked us up at the cruise terminal and took us to their lot (5 minute drive). Very easy and convenient.

Also, we were able to return the car to the airport (they are located AT THE AIRPORT) at no extra charge - and, again, very convenient.

we have used hertz and budget but prefer budget first. they have drop off and pick up service to and from the ship and everything usually moves pretty fast. i believe budget is only 1/4 mile from the ship.

Has anyone used National at the Port? My airport will not do one way with Budget and Hertz cost lots more than National. But, I am not really excitied about the taxi back to the port. Any thoughts?

We used AVIS both getting to and getting from the port. Their shuttle was easy both directions (recommend dropping off the luggage/family at the ship to get in line---that saved a lot of time). I'm sure the other agencies are good too...
