Car Rental Hotel Pick up

Staying at Disney's Boardwalk resort prior to cruise. Renting car from Dollar at Holiday Inn Lake BV.

Dollar has to pick me up and take me to Holiday Inn to pick up the car.

Has anyone had experience with either Budget or Dollar pick up service.

I've had decent experience with Budget returning me to the Port but haven't had to be picked up to get the car??

Any thoughts would be appreciated. (Rather not use dcl transportation to the port because it gets there too late.)

So is your reason for renting the car to have transportation to PC for a cruise?

I've been researching all of this, and found that if you take DCL transfer *from the airport* you pretty much get on board as soon as you get there (regardless of boarding number). The earliest bus leaves at 9:30am from the airport. So..get yourself to the airport, then onto the bus (checkin for it starts at 8 or 8:30 from what I've found).

If you didn't know that, it might be worth it to think about it!



If I were staying at BW, I'd just rent from National/Alamo over at Dolphin and walk over, FWIW. But i don't know if there's National/Alamo at the Port.

I have rented from Dollar. But I didn't bother with that pick up mess. I just took the bus to DTD and walked to the hotel. It's worth considering.

As for the bus to the port. First OP would have to take DME to the airport for the "from the airport" pick up. And even if you let them do the resort pick up the price is pretty steep. I like the car option because you can also stop for "supplies" (booze, suntan lotion etc..)
