Car Rental Help

We are heading to Disneyland on the 11th and are flying into Long Beach and out of Orange County on the 16th. We are a family of 5 and are thinking that renting a car is our best bet as we like to visit the beach and LAX while we are there. Am wondering if anyone has booked any great rates recently?

hertz had great pricing a few weeks ago, and we had planned to use them. But, since it was almost $20 a day to park at PP, I ended up using taxis to/from SNA, and just rented a car at the Alamo in Downtown Disney for a day, which was also a good rate.
Best thing to do is shop around, and check to see if the hotel you're staying at will charge for parking.

If you have a Costco membership, every good rate I have gotten lately in California has been thru Costco. Just go to their site, select Car (or Auto) rental and you can find some good deals. You do have to have a Costco membership number when you go to confirm the reservation. We booked a one-day rate of $27.00, had an Altima, including fees to get from Orange County to LAX. It was cheaper than Super Shuttle and cheaper than the Disney shuttle.

Costco is the best I have found. I booked a intermediate suv for upcoming trip, 4 days $74.00 through Alamo!!! that is total price, not per day.
