car rental help, need descriptions

Hi all, i need to know the difference between the chevy equinox and the chevy trailblazer, i am assuming the trailblazer is larger, but as far as length goes, are they the same, i want room, there are only 3 of us, but we are women so lots of bags, i did a compact car last time and it was cramped, and this time we are staying longer.

I'm undecided on this also (with Alamo). According to the descriptions the mid-size SUV definitely holds less luggage than the standard. The trunk space in the back is generally quite a bit smaller. We rented the smaller SUV class from one of the car rental companies a couple of years ago and got a RAV4. It was okay for us (DH, DD12 and I) but I doubt in your case there would have been enough room for all of your luggage (coming from another woman of course ). I'm leaning towards the Trailblazer class myself this time because it will be roomier than the Equinox and we'll also have our nephew with us...and I always get nervous about the "or similar" in the car type description. One year we rented a mid-size car and got a soft top Jeep Wrangler - seemed at first like it would be fun but it was miserable to drive, uncomfortable and there was very little room for luggage.

We rented from Alamo, and had the "or similar" mid-size SUV. It was a Saturn Vue. It had quite a large back space. More than my Jeep Grand Cherokee at home. We had 3 large suitcases and 2 smaller ones. We just put the big ones in on their sides and the smaller ones laid on top.

Depending on how the passenger in the back feels, you could also fit some luggage with them comfortabally.

I just confirmed with Alamo for our mid-size SUV. I'm so glad I saw this post. It will be me, DH, DS6 and DS4. I'm hoping this will be a big enough vehicle for our luggage. Last time I went down to Disney, there was 6 adults and we were able to get all our luggage in a mid-size SUV. I can't remember what it was. I'm so excited. The only thing I still need to buy is our park tickets.

while driving to work today, i saw a trailblazer, now if i could just catch a view of the equinox, i can decide, the trailblazer does not look to bad, but i am trying to be logical, since we will be driving around alot, but the gas will probably be the same.
