Hi there,
We just returned from the world on Monday the 24th. Had a wonderful trip with no problems, or so we thought. We checked out on Monday and were driving to Downtown Disney to do last minute shopping. Saw a Sheriff's Dept. car pull in behind me, talking in her radio. and then.... the lights came on. I pulled over, the stomach doing flip flops. She announced over the radio to bring back license and registration. I brought back the license and rental car agreement. She stated that my registration sticker was expired and was this all the rental car company gave me( the agreement?) She checked my license through the computer and then told me to notify National Car rental about the sticker. We talked about the storm we were missing, I'm from PA and she's from Albany, NY and then sent me on my way. I returned the car, spoke to a manager and was nicely compensated for the trouble. So... the moral of the story is..... check for damages and sticker dates. Have a great day.

Thanks, for the heads up. It is always important to check the vehicle for damages and other possible issues prior to leaving the airport/car rental agency. :)

Thanks for the info ---- we always check for damage - but have never thought to check the registration sticker!!!!

I got a ticket for this in Alaska once. (It was just on the car when I got to it in the parking lot.) I called National and asked if they wanted to get one every day for two weeks or bring me a new registration, they bought me a registration. I wasn't too worried since the cops did not have my personal info.
