Car Rental Downtown Disney?

I'm staying at the Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney and read that their buses only transport you to the TTC. This, then transferring seems like it will put us at the park after opening. I'd rather spend the extra $$ to be there before opening. Anyone know how early u can get to the parks using the DD buses vs a car?

Actually the DD buses take you to the parking lots of each theme park. For the Magic Kingdom, the buses drop you off at TTC, and you take the monorail or ferry over to the Magic Kingdom.

You would have to do the same thing if you drove to Magic Kingdom -- park, take a tram to the TTC and then take the monorail or ferry.

DD buses begin running well before the parks open, so you should be able to get there in plenty of time for opening.

Also, the DD buses will drop you closer up to the park entrance than you would be able to park yourself.
