Car Rental Desk Closes Before Late Flight Arrives, What Happens?

Daughter, SIL and 3 grandkids arrive at SFB 10:31 pm, car rental place closes at 11. If the flight is late, we're talking Allegiant here, what happens with the rental car, get it in the AM or does it 'go away'?

Generally speaking, they'll stay open. Be sure to note the flight number on the car reservation. They may have someone in the garage rather than at the desk.

Hopefully you received a more definitive answer, but I ran into this once when I had a reservation with National, I called while waiting for the delayed flight and they said I would have to wait until the next morning. When I called Hertz they said they would stay open if they were waiting on someone on a delayed flight.

I once had a delayed flight to Knoxville TN. Avis stayed open waiting for our flight from Charlotte.

On occasion we have gotten the rental car after hours by using a key machine. But your res number in, keys come out with space number. I don't recall doing this at Stanford though. It has been awhile since flying there so they may offer it as well.
