Car rental deals?

I haven't rented cars very often, is there a secret to getting a good deal? Would like to get a car for 2 weeks in Orlando if the price is right, my daughter would like to drive home for Christmas and back again.

Hang around on the "transportation" board here on the dis. I'm sure there is a thread that covers the time period that you wish to rent a car. There will lots of relevant discussion as to discounts and such.
