Anyone rent from Advantage Car Rental before? How long is the shuttle ride?

If anyone has any other recommendations for car rental companies, please let me know. I'm looking to pick up from LAX.

Thanks!:)

Ive always used budget, and I like them.... We used them out of LAX last year, just caught the shuttle and hopped right in the car and away we went! (Sign up for fastbreak if you use them...SO EASY!!!) Oh, and for budget the shuttle ride was just a few minutes.

I always check on Expedia or Travelocity and see who has the best rate at the time and then go directly to their site. This time we have booked a Chrysler Pacifica for $159 for the week through Dollar (summer week too...).

We have used Alamo, National, Budget and Dollar successfully at LAX so usually go with whichever is cheapest and has the car we want.

Are all the car rental companies located in the same place? I found a Jeep Liberty (Advantage)for $199 and they say they're located on Airport Blvd. I'll check out the other companies that were mentioned as well - thanks!

No, but you catch the shuttle at the same place. All you do is flag down the shuttle for your company, and they take you to where you need to go.

Check out carrentals.com :)
We booked an intermediate size (Chrysler Sebring) for $100 for a week :thumbsup2
It's through Dollar Rent-a-car.

We went with Enterprise.. Chrysler Pacifica for 5 nights.. $120 total with taxes. We walked right onto the shuttle and once there.. there was more CSR Reps than customers waiting to help. If you go to Priceline.com they will show you the cost of most the Rental Companies out of LAX for the dates you will be there and the type of vehicle you want.. you do not have to commit to anything to view that information.

How long of a shuttle ride was it? We're looking to rent an SUV and so far Advantage has been the cheapest at $199 with taxes and they are a 10-15 min shuttle ride from the airport. I'm trying to find the closest one to the airport.

Priceline also says some of the rental companies are located at LAX. I thought there were only off site rentals - anyone know?

Thanks for your help everyone!

We are renting from Enterprise for 8 days for $112 included taxes/fees. The prices when I checked earlier this year were all over $300 but they have really gone down! I figured $112 for so many days will likely be the bes so I booked, but will still check as we get closer! Have no idea how long the shuttle takes, it is our first time, but just wanted to let you know! Hotwire.com is also great!! Check them out ;)

I think the shuttle ride was about 10-15 minutes. And if I remember right.. the Advantage and Dollar Rental Company were right next to Enterprise. I know Dollar was for sure.. and they shared a sign with either Advantage or Alamo.. it was a company that started with the letter "A".. pretty sure it was Advantage. One more thing.. if you have an Entertainment Book or get the Entertainment Code (which you can easily find on the internet).. it will be slightly cheaper than the Priceline rate for Enterprise. HTH!

rented from avis....to get the car was a little bit of a pain....just like everyone else you get all your stuff and wait outside for your shuttle...literally flag them down. To drop off at avis was easy...just pulled up in a lot, someone did a quick check and gave me a receipt....shuttle back. Around 5 minutes. (don't forget need full tank!) :thumbsup2
