Car Rental at Downtown Disney

I am flying in on Sat. and taking the Disneyland Express from John Wayne Airport. I have a car rented from Alamo at Downtown Disney. My plan is to have the shuttle drop me off at the Disneyland Hotel. According to the maps that I have seen the Disneyland Hotel is across the street from Alamo. Is this correct and how far is the hotel from the rental car place?

It's in the same building as Compass Books and the AMC theater, facing DLH. It's just a few yards from the Dream Tower at DLH.
