car rental and Virgin confirmation

Hi I have booked a rental car with Holiday Autos for our holiday to California next year.
I have booked an Intermediate, will this be big enough to fit the luggage of three adults and a child, we are going for 16 nights and we will also be doing clothes shopping while we are there. Some of the threads on the trip planning board have got me thinking that We may need something bigger.

Also we booked the holiday one and a half months ago and we still have no confirmation or Invoice from VH. well we did get one within a few days however they had spelt DD name wrong and we are still waiting for a correct one.

After reading lots of negative things about virgin recently I am worried especially as DH wanted to go BA.

This Holiday will be are first big family holiday apart from DLRP and I don't want anything to go wrong.

Can any one help?

Hello.
When we booked with Virgin they made a couple of mistakes on our invoice and it took about 6 weeks and an irate phone call from our travel agent before we finally got the correct information on our forms.
We found getting the agent involved did the trick but she did say that Virgin can be very slow in giving out their invoices.
Perhaps if you haven't heard in the next two weeks you could contact them again and chase it up!

It really depends on how many suitacases you are planning on taking and how big they are. When we go to CA we have family meet us at the airport and they take some of our luggage. We are a family of two children (12, 8) and two adults.

If it is VH I would ring again as I had a revised invoice sent to me within 4 days when I rang to query about the free car upgrade, and it came all correct with the new car group clearly printed

It depends which make of car Holiday Autos give as an intermediate. Virgin supplied us with a Cruiser P/T and it had very little boot spcace - just enough room for 2 medium sized suitcases. We travel very light, but had to have a third bag on the back seat between the kids on the way home (thank goodness for Downtown Disney check in!).
