A few weeks ago my car radio starting acting funny, if I tried to use the scan button to go through the stations it would only do a scan between a few stations, like 92.9 through 94.1 then back to 92.9. Then one day last week it wouldn't turn on, I replaced the fuse and it worked for a few days (but still had the scanning issue) then the other day it stopped working again, so I bought new fuses to see if there something wrong with the other ones, still didn't work. I don't know if maybe I just need a whole new radio (cd player and tape player don't work either since it won't turn on, but when I turn on my lights the lighting of the radio buttons turns on) or if maybe someone has a suggestion of what else it could be.

Sounds like it could be a short in the electrical system - or - if your radio/cd/cassette system is anything like mine, you may have accidentally hit one of several buttons and that is causing the problem.. Do you have the original manual? If so, I would take it out and go through everything step by step - button after button..

Mine has so many - seek; scan; set; mute; stereo; on; off; front; rear; bass; treble; - you name it, I've got it - LOL.. I don't allow anyone to touch the buttons on my radio because once they do, it takes me forever and a day to get things back the way I want them..

Hope that helps..:goodvibes

I hope it is something electrical and easy to fix, I am going to have my brother look at it in a few weeks when I go to visit my family. It is killing me though not to have anything to listen to in the car. I ended up ordering portable speakers for my IPOD today so I can listen to it in the car without needing my radio to hook the IPOD into.

Hope it works out for you - and it's something minor that can be fixed easily..:goodvibes

I know what you mean about no radio or stereo.. I'm going to be 60 in the fall and I still have to have music to listen to in the car.. It's so quiet in there without it!!
