Car or Bus?

We're hoping to drive to AK since we're switching resorts that morning and our timing might be tight.

I read in another thread that the parking lot at AK may not open until close to the actual park opening time and that it's better to ride the bus to this park. Has anyone found this to be true?

Without reading all the posts on this thread, let me say this about that ...

You might want to use your car when visiting Downtown Disney or visiting another resort, but I would use the Disney transportation everywhere else. And I would never recommend driving to the Magic Kingdom in any case. Much easier to take the bus in my humble opinion.

We use the buses unless we are going to a water park then it always seems quicker to take the car.

I think we have a much better handle on our options now. I was referring to the park maps as I read everyone's responses, and it has made it much easier to attempt to plan our days.
