Car or bus to parks?

This is the first time we'll be going to Animal Kingdom. We are staying at the Poly. Is it quicker to take a car there or the buses? We'll have a car anyway because we'll be visiting family for part of our stay and going to enjoy a few off-site attractions.

I assume the monorail is still the fastest back from MK -- even at the end of the night?

I'd drive to the AK - especially if you plan to leave in the middle of the day. Buses do not seem to run very frequently in the middle of the day compared to the beginning and end of the day.

I'd take the monorail to the MK or the boat for a change of pace. If I were in a hurry and the lines weren't really long, I'd take the boat. From the MK, the resort monorail stops at the CR and TTC before the Poly.

I'd monorail to EPCOT. Depending on where my Poly room was located, I'd either walk to the TTC to catch the EPCOT monorail or take the resort monorail to the TTC (resort monorail stops at the MK and the CR before arriving at the TTC).

I'd drive to MGM and the waterparks and DD.
