Hi guys,

I am just about to book our car for our holiday in December. Does anyone have any recommendations? We would like to collect the car at MCO and drop it off there as well. We'd also like to hire Sat Nav.

Any info would be great. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I think you would find USRENTACAR hard to beat, they will quote you for all the major companies at MCO including Dollar, Alamo and Budget.:car:

I have booked with them for end of Sept and got a free upfrade from Full size car to a 4x4. saving about £60 for me:banana:

We always use www.Airline-network.co.uk who provide cars thru Dollar. If you do use Dollar join Dollar Express free on their website it saved us a hour at Easter, you just go right to the front, great service, other companies run similar things.
How long are you going for and are you going again sometime? we go for upto 50 days a year plus Cali and Vegas this year so it was far cheaper to buy sat nav than rent.
We would not use Alamo again but others wouldn't use Dollar so just find the best deal that covers your needs.
Good luck

Like Wayneg we always use Dollar.
The price is always good and the service top notch.
Just a short 2 minute walk to pick up your car and your off.
They always seem to upgrade us for free as they don't have the car we order! they get are thumbs up :thumbsup2

I always use Florida Homes and Travel www.carhireflorida.net they are the best in the business when it comes to service, if you call them they will often offer an extra discount especially if you are going for more than the normal 14 days. Also if you do have any problems they are very quick to sort them out. I recently learned from them that they now do a pre-registration which stops you queuing for ages at the airport.

I keep looking everytime you recommend them but price is always too much. 25 nights full size August, £540 compared to Airnet £503. maybe one trip they will be cheaper.:goodvibes

Hi wayneg,

For 25 nights in August our rate would not be as stated depending on the insurance package you went with. The rate is £509 without fuel £553 with fuel (not worth taking this package for such a long stay unless you need more than 2 drivers) I will check out the rates on the web site to see what is happening there.

In addition we offer all rentals over 21 days a £5 per week and £2 per day discount bringing the total down to £486, plus we are offering a free upgrade at the moment as well so for that rate you would get a Premium car. Or of course you could save even more money by booking an intermediate and upgrading to full size £446.

Just needed to clarify this, and I will check out what is happening on the web site.

Has anyone used www.carjet.co.uk in Orlando?

We've used them for Europe and they've always been excellent. I priced up a car for our next trip in Feb and they beat Airline Network and the other websites mentioned here hands down!

I don't see that, they are coming out far more expensive than both when I do it.

we have always used yes car hire, and they are agents for alamo, for our next visit we are using a company called fresh car hire and they tend to use dollar, so we will see how they go

Last year we got a quote for an Intermediate car with a free upgrade to a Full Size with US renta car but Trailfinders matched any Alamo quote i could get my hands on, as we booked with them i liked the idea of all of it under one roof.
