Car hire challenge!

My friend is off to Orlando with family this month and they have booked a van for around £900. There are ten of them. I am trying to find her two vehicles that would hold six people and four people respectively for the same price as I really think they might fall out if they have to rely on one car and thus identical plans. I can't do it. Can't get close actually. Anyone fancy the challenge on a quiet Friday night?!! They fly into and out of Sanford.

No great car hire deals around just now, I still need to book both my trips for July & Sept.

I think you will struggle for those dates, there is a shortage of cars for Easter weekend.
Quick search for prices shows:
Intermediate £378
Minivan £686
Total £1064

Cut out Easter weekend and rent 21st -2nd and prices drop to:
Inter £175
Van £260

You would then need to rent 18th-21st
Inter £103
Van £206

Total £744 less Quidco

Not looked into all this with detail, I used SFB for collection and return points for all rentals, prices could be better using other depots. More time would need to be spent looking for lowest prices but that's the only way I can see you beating £900.

Its crazy you have to do a split rental to get a lower price but that's how it works. I looked at this site http://www.quidco.com/carrentals-co-uk/

Our next trip I did a split on our hotel(Hilton Garden Inn) 1st night is 3rd July, I assume an expensive night due to 4th July next day so I did a 1 night booking at £60 then 15 nights at £40/nt, doing 16 straight nights worked out at £60/nt the whole trip. I will hand in 2 hotel vouchers and let them sort on check in.

What size car? ebookers have Full size car at £152 less 6% Quidco = £143. Less than £16/nt, doubt you will do much better than that. Wayne I'm going to rent from 23rd June till 8th July, if I'm staying at Universal Rpr what's the best place to collect.from?

Also I need a a car to seat 6 and where I'm looking is coming up really expensive help please ;-)

The first thing I thought of when seeing 10 people in one van and the probability that the luggage won't fit. When we went with 10 we had 2 vehicles and still had bags on peoples knees.

Wouldn't you want to collect at the airport to get you there?

£357 less 13% Quidco with Holiday Autos looks to be the best deal, about £310 after cashback.

Hi er I'm not sure I'd cope, not sure if you have seen my other thread,but hubby is now flying out on the 19th or 20th depending on leave and the 3kids and I we fly out on the 17th,so as much as I'd love to rent from the airport it will be my 1st time driving in the states and I'm already terrified,and I think I'd need dh for support and navigation.
