Car Hire at Disney

Hello everyone.

Off to Disney again in Jan, splitting time between SSR and VB. Have 'booked' a car with DVC (for the first time ever driving on the 'wrong side' of the road) but am having trouble organising the insurance side of things.

Tried calling the ALAMO number given to me, but maybe the language barrier prevented me actually understanding what they were on about, or even finding the reservation !

Has anyone had experience / problems with this ?

Never booked via DVC but you can book via the Alamo UK site and get fully inclusive insurance. It's a lot better value than paying individually for all the extras.

Worst case go and look at the site and check out the insurance options so you know what you actually need/want. You may want to cancel via DVC if you can (and if they can't get you an inclusive rate). Now I also recall some folks on this site had taken out insurance in the UK seperate to the car hire that should cover the car hire. Ask in Vacation planning if no-one comes along with those details here.
