hi
really depends on the size of the cases. we usually have an intermediate as well and we get 3 cases in the boot + all the hand luggage, well nearly all of it.
so you should be ok!
there are 5 of us

I've had a few intermediates ,various models and we can just get our 2 carlton plastic cases in ,a third would definately not fit.
We then have a bit of room for a large holdall and a couple of hand luggage type sports bags.
Whether soft cases wedge in a bit better i don't know, but i'd be looking at a fullsize car.
I've done the case on the back seat as well.

Hi

We found it to be a little small. We got a neon chrysler. If you do have time perhaps visit a gargage that has a neon in and have a look at the boot space then you maybe able to make a decision whether to upgrade.

we went with 2 cases and came back with 5!
2 in the back of car between knees and front seats, yes there was complaints all the way to the airport!
also some car company cars are smaller than others, so 1 intermediate maybe smaller /larger than with another company.

We always have an Intermediate car from Dollar (in 2003 we had a Saturn L200, and in 2005, we had a Dodge Stratus). To be honest, even for just the two of us, when we took our older shape hard plastic cases, we only just fitted them in. This year with two softer, new shape cases, we had no trouble fitting them, but I wouldn't like to attempt a third case in the boot. One on the back seat is fine as the cars a quite big inside. To be honest though, even a 'Full Size' wouldn't be much better, as its still a saloon car so boot space is limited compared to your typical British hatchback. With 4 cases, I'd be considering upgrading to am SUV, or one of the Dodge Magnums (an estate car) that I've seen at the Dollar depots recently.
