Car hire/Airport transfers?

Well, here goes
DD 7, myself and DH will be travelling to Orlando for 3 weeks - from 23rd March - April 13th 2006.
My original intention was to hire a car for the whole time but DH has recently had his pay cut so I'm looking at ways to save money without having to cancel the holiday (and, subsequently lose the money we've already paid out for the flights and accommodation! )
The first week we will be staying in Kissimmee, the second in Daytona Beach and the third back in Kissimmee.
I was thinking that we could maybe just hire a car for the middle week
I guess my main question is whether there are any bus transfers etc that leave MCO, and go to the Kissimmee area, that would be cheaper than a taxi transfer?
If we take a taxi I guess we may as well pay for 3 weeks car hire
We do have a DF who lives close to Universal Studios and, I'm almost certain, would collect us but I don't feel cheeky enough to ask
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Check out Mears Transportation. They can get you from MCO to Kissimmee. You might then look into a limo or town car to get you from Kissimmee to Daytona Beach and back.

I think it might be good to have the car at the beach and have a quote for £130 (GBP) for the week through Alamo
Hopefully I should be able to get rental for less if I look properly
Mears were quoting $130 (USD) for a round trip I think.
Rental (inc ins) for the full 3 weeks would be around £320 (GBP)

Thats a good price through Alamo. Be carefull driving in Daytona though, theres some destracted drivers.
