I can remember reading about a Restaurant that you sit in the cars for your meals. Something that I have wanted to do. (Not trying to be Vincent Vega or anything)
Anybody give me a clue on this and how good the food is?

Rob

This is the Sci Fi in MGM studios, Im afraid I dont know what the food is like, Vicki and I were supposed to go here last August but she was poorly so we had to cancel. Its a shame because we were really looking forward to it.

They play old time Sci Fi movies on a large screen while you sit and eat in the car, we are def going to give it a whirl this year. :sunny:

One of my favourite films :teeth:

Maybe a bit too much for all our collectie kids going away this. I would like something a little less up market. Dont do posh.... ;)

I wouldn't particularly call it posh Rob. It's not that cheap but then nowhere at WDW onsite is as cheap as offsite, LOL.

I don't think they do a 5 dollar shake, either :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Hehe,

Jack Rabbit Slims .

Posh for me is using a plate for a chippy tea rather than the tray.... :teeth:

The sci-fi is great fun, it's like a drive in and some of the wait staff are on roller skates. There are clips of really awful B-movies and great 50's intermission ads.
If the Cast Members are in to it they scream along!

The food is burgers & such, it's good burgers though!

The Sci-Fi Dine In is certainly not posh! I didn't think much of the food here, but our three children thought it was wonderful. The children's meals can come with flashing ice cubes in the drinks and the atmosphere is great. We went for lunch, and I have heard lots of people report that the dinner menu is less impressive.

Sci-Fi is one of our favourite WDW restaurants, we always try to eat there. I wouldn't call it cheap, but definately not posh either. Servers on roller skates and set like a '50s drive-in sci-fi movie, it is a lot of fun. You sit in cars to eat by the dashboard light. We think lunch has the better menu as we like the burgers, also the Coca-Cola ribs are gorgeous. Get the kids some glowing ice cubes in their drinks. Well worth a try but make an ADR as it is popular and waits can be long.

It is a fun place but in our three visits there, we've had terrible food and terrible service - once waiting over an hour for our meal to arrive. We haven't been back. It isn't cheap either.
