Car Care Center or Dolphin

I'm renting a van at the airport and dropping it off at DW. Staying at CSR, where's the best place to drop it off, the Dolphin or the Car Care Center? Is one a lot closer to CSR then the other or any other reason that one might be better then the other? I thought someone said there's a shuttle I can take back to CSR.

Alamo/National has a complimentary shuttle van that will deliver you back to your resort. I have personally used it from the CCC, but believe it is also available from the Dolphin. The shuttle only operates during the hours the CCC/Dolphin counters are open, so be sure to drop off your van during that time if you plan to count on the shuttle for a ride back.

My advice would be to drop off the van at the Dolphin and then either take the boat or walk over to MGM. (There's a paved path on the Boardwalk side of the canal. It's lit at night and should take about 15 minutes to walk from the Dolphin). You can grab a bus back to CSR from MGM. (Of course, that assumes you are dropping off the car during the hours that MGM is open). I prefer that, because I don't like to wait around for a shuttle ride - which is possible. You never know where else it needs to be when you want to go, LOL. OTOH, you will probably have to wait a few minutes for a boat or bus, too.

If you are in a big hurry or want to drop the van off after hours, it is easy to catch a cab at the Dolphin. Expect to pay $12-$15, including tip for a ride back to CSR.

It may make a difference depending on the time of day when you want to do the drop off. The Car Care Center hours are 6 am to 8 pm M-F and 6 am to 6 pm on Sa-Su. The National/Alamo desk at the Dolphin is open 8 am to 4 pm every day.
