Car activities

Okay, we are driving from NY so obviously will be in the car for a long time. DD is 5 and so far I have the following to keep her occupied: Coloring books, crayons, lap tray, leap pad, renting a dvd player and am seriously thinking of letting her do a little playdoh on her lap tray. She loves playdoh and will sit and do it for hours at home and is pretty careful with it. Any other ideas?

Has your family made any long distance trips recently? Not an activity, but something else you might consider - motion sickness meds. When I was that age, I could not read or lay down in a moving car without getting car sick.

No we haven't, will probably pick some up. Longest trip dd has been on so far is 5 hours.
