What do you recommend for dinner at The Captain's Grille? Never eaten here before so recommendations appreciated.

A lot depends on what you like to eat. Here's a few of the items we've really enjoyed:
Appetizers & Salads - Potato Cheese Gnocchi and Farmers' Market Salad
Dinner - Crab Cakes and I'll say that depending on what's being offered that night we've had some really good options with the Chef Vegetarian Inspiration.
Typically we walk over to Beaches n Cream for dessert.

We've always had a wonderful dining experience at Captain's Grille. Hope you do too

The short rib, it comes as a piece with risotto or shredded with pasta. Both delicious but the tagliatelle version is a very large portion.

I had dinner there a few years ago and enjoyed my steak, others enjoyed the crab cakes. This past March I had lunch there and it was one of the best meals I had on that trip. The food was well done and the service was excellent.

This is our "Best Kept Secret" restaurant. We eat here on DHS day. The crab cakes are great and so are the short ribs. Love this place.

NOTE: The food at Captain's Grille is usually above average and quite tasty, but
pretty expensive for what your are getting. At 25% less cost, it would be quite
worth the price. The service is very spotty and our server was almost surly. We're
fond of the New York Strip and the Rosemary Pork Chop. But, the Chicken was dry
and bland. One would also expect a great plate presentation for the price, but the
plating looks like a local diner's Blue Plate Special. The Key Lime is a good
end for the meal. I would prefer lunch, as the sandwiches are very tasty and the
price-value is good. For a nice lunch, try the Soup and Salad - there is one or two
choices for a sandwich, as it is a chef's special for the day. I had the shrimp
salad sandwich and clam chowder. Pretty good for about $15.
