Captain's Grille or Cape May Cafe?

Hi All

My FI and I are coming to Disney in May and he LOVES crab legs, so it's mucho important that I include an ADR with seafood. I love crab legs and all seafood too! So, I've been hunting around the Disney menus and I see that Captain's Grille and Cape May Cafe both offer crab legs.

I'd appreciate some feedback on which one we should try.

I know Cape May Cafe is a buffet, so I was wondering if the food quality is as good?

I have ate at both...cape may 4 times. Deff. Go to cape may their is a lot more variety and the food is a lot better...my family felt the same way. I love crab legs as well and they have only been there two times out of the four even though there on the menu. Maybe try to find out when they are there for sure. The reason I wouldn't recommend the captains grill would be b/c we didn't have a good experience bc no one enjoyed their meals ( our crab legs were over cooked)

If crab legs is your main priority then go with Cape May since you can get all you want. If crab legs are not a deciding factor I would go with quality over quantity and go with the Captains Grill. I'm just not very excited about buffets and Cape May is no exception. Other than the crab legs it's an average offering of food much like any other buffet (Boma may be the exception). On the other hand, I found Captains Grill to be a very nice discovery; the NY Strip was very good and I found the crab cakes to be excellent.

I know, I'm in the minority. But that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Cape May! As others have said, the variety is great.

The crab legs are good, and the mashed potatoes, and the salads... and the breads and desserts... You will love it. It's on our list for this summer! It's delicious!

We went to Captain's Grille during our recent stay and I loved it!! The food was AMAZING and the dessert even better. My DBF and I both got the crab legs and they were amazing...

I included pictures on my TR and I will look back on them every so often so I can drool over them!!!

I voted for Cape May only because we are going there in May for the first time and cannot wait (our arrival day dinner). I also have heard that the food is a lot better at Cape May than over at Captain's Grill, but I really don't know since we have never dined there either. Good luck
