I'm looking for a backup plan incase we cannot get Le Cellier. Right now it is not looking too good. Has anyone eaten at Captains Grill? The menu looks good.

it was the worst meal i had on property last time
i asked for prime rib -medium...i got an end piece well done....i asked for a different piece and they said thats all they had...... well thats great, if you told me that to start with i would have just ordered something else!
haha
DF meal was nothing to write home about, although i want to say maybe the crab cakes were good?

I dont have intentions of going back for lunch/dinner there anytime soon....but i wouldnt write it off forever.

I have never eaten there for dinner but breakfast wasn't bad. River Horse Brewery has also been good. I did have a great steak at the Yachtsman Steakhouse on my last trip in May. I hope you get Le Cellier

Captain's Grille is quite good. Not a lot of atmosphere, but the food and service are very solid. Not a "must do every trip" for me, but I have been there several times and will go back again in the future.

Really liked this place when we ate NYE dinner there 2008. Service and food was great..I'd return again.

Dinner is so so. We decided no more dinner's here. We do eat breakfast and lunch here. I also got the prime rib and it was dried out and tough. I would go to YSH if your heart is set on LeCellier, but I hear there are some good places at swan/dolphin too.
