Captain's Grill?

I haven't read many posts about Captain's Grill (and I can't figure out how to have success with the thread search).

Is it very unpopular? Is it bad? I'm considering it because I'm staying at the BC. ... any comments, pictures?

Hi. I've never been there, but asked this same question recently. I got lots of favorable responses, so we have an ADR there in August.

Last year DH and I took the boat over from EPCOT for lunch. We very much enjoyed it. Service was good, as was the food. It was a quiet, relaxing lunch. Next visit we will be going for dinner on our HS day.

We went last August and it was very very good. I defiantely would go back. I just booked it for my parents.

I haven't been there in 2 years, but then I LOVED it and it was just about my favorite meal of the week long trip. Go for it!

It doesn't get a lot of notice because it is not a very exciting restaurant - it doesn't have characters or hijinks or even a real theme. But it serves pretty good food with good service in a pleasant atmosphere. It is well worth a meal if you are staying at the BC because it is so convenient to your resort.

We stayed at the YC in Jan. 09 and ate at the Captains Grille our first night; we ate there more out of convenience than anything else, but we were not disappointed. As another pp stated, it is not themed, nor is it elaborately decorated; however, it is clean, has good service, and the food is pretty good as well. We were pleasantly surprised and would have no concerns about going back again.

We ate there in April 08, we were staying at the YC at the time..best pork chop, wedge salad and cheese rolls I ever had.

Would not go out of my way for it but if I was staying in that vicinity I would eat there.
