Can anyone tell me about this place for Breakfast. I originally wanted to go because I heard they had great crab benedicts but some where I read that they are crab cake's and egg bendicts. I like Crab but there are very few crab cakes that I like. So I'm not so sure now. It will be out of our pocket expense. Thanks

We went for breakfast Oct 07, (pics are in my signature) DH had the berry compote french toast and the toast was very soggy even with the berry compote on the side. The bacon was nice and crisp and very good. I had the eggs benny and it was out of this world. The potatoes that came with it were the worst, loaded with red peppers and had a terrible burned taste to them.

We went back for breakfast April 08 and each had the buffet, what a mistake that was. The buffet was so neglected, nothing filled, just a few bits and pieces here and here and they were dried out. The food is the exact same that Cape May Buffet has but not as fresh.

All in all I would go back for eggs benny only

We also had dinner there April 08 (pics are in my signature). The breads and salads were awesome, I had the pork chop and it was the best one I ever had. DH had the roasted chicken and it was great but the baked beans that came with it were loaded with red pepper and soupy..they were not good at all.

Think I'll do breakfast there, but "regular" menu..Won't do break buffet..Guess I'll do breakfast buffet then at CapeMayCafe.

Think I'll try Captains Grille for lunch though....Seems like a diverse menu..

Spoodles seems like a good choice for breakfast for Epcot resort folks..

Comments on Breakfast at Spoodles?????

Thx.......................:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We did Spoodles once and it was terrible, greasy and dry overcooked food. The kicker is for $10 more we could have went to Cape May which has a fantastic breakfast or for the same money gone to Boma which is the king of all breakfast spots

We have tried both Spoodles and the Captain's Grille for breakfast. We had the french toast at Spoodles and it seemed like pre-made french toast, in that each piece looked exactly the same, almost like frozen french toast would be.

We have also had the french toast and the egg platter at Captain's Grille. This breakfast tasted made-to-order and we enjoyed it more than Spoodles. We have tried the breakfast buffet at Captain's Grille, a smaller version of the Cape May buffet, but we enjoyed the Cape May one more due to the larger buffet and the fact that eveything was refreshed so frequently. Both times we ate at Captain's Grille it was not crowded at all. We pay out of pocket and we haven't found a favorite place for a "regular" bacon, eggs and toast breakfast in the Epcot area.

Have 3 ADR's for breakfast on dining plan...

Captains Grille, Regular Menu though
CapeMay Buffet Breakfast
Boma Buffet Breakfast

Think I'll pass on Spoodles........:goodvibes

You know I am always amazed at differing opinions.. I am a huge fan of Captain's Grille, ala carte and buffet. I am not sure what time the poster was there but when I have been there, they are always replenishing the buffet and if they were not, you would be darn sure I would say something to my server or call over a manager..

Also, a huge fan of Spoodles as well. I have not done breakfast there lately and I would be horrified to think that they use prepared french toast, but lately with all the cuts, I am wondering... I am going to see if I can find out for you... They do french press for coffee, which I love, and I know their dinner meals are terrific.

I also wanted to post this here.. I said I would find out about the French Toast at Spoodles...

"We use Challah Bread that comes in every day from a local bakery. We cut it ourselves and make the batter from scratch."

So folks that means it is made fresh on site every day.. not frozen or prepared... just wanted to clear that up.
