Captain's Grill - Walk up?

It seems this ought to be doable, but I thought I'd throw it out to y'all.

We'll be at BC and - on our "down" day - we have ADRs at Le Cellier. As I'm looking at our schedule, it looks like things might get thrown for a loop as I'm thinking I may just send my teenagers to the waterpark that day, and then our party of 7 drops down to 5.

Do you think that - if we changed our minds at literally the last minute - we could just do a walk-up at Captain's grill for lunch?

I've never done it, but based on everything I've read about the place it sounds like it should be do-able.

I think you have a good chance.. I wouldnt try it during free dining tho..lol

I can't see you having a problem. I haven't gone for lunch, but we have been a few times for breakfast, and we never had a problem. It usually has many open tables.

Thanks! I think I'll leave it open as an option, then. I have the ADR at Le Cellier, but I really hate the idea of being pinned down to a schedule before dinner that day. There's a reason I called it a "Sleep-In/Free Day," and being inflexible defies the reasoning behind that day.

for lunch... sure!! make sure to try the crab cake--it's the best ever!! for dinner we can see it's becoming more popular on each trip. maybe i should keep my trap shut on how delicious it is on here

We eat lunch at CG at least once each trip, always a walk up...YUM LOBSTER ROLL

DS specifically picked this place for the lobster roll. We can get good crab cakes in NJ, it is a long drive for good lobster roll. Can't wait!

We've always been able to walk up to CG and get a table for breakfast almost immediately. I would think that lunch and dinner would be possible as well since most people are in the parks.

You will have no trouble grabbing a table; the resort restaurants are usually dead for lunch.
