Captains Grill Breakfast?

I was looking to get any comments or reviews of the Captains Grill for breakfast. Any word on Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes.

I hate to say, but I did NOT like the lemon ricotta pancakes from Captain's Grille It made me sad because I've always had great food and service there. The pancakes were really chalky tasting and had a very odd texture. I review them in my dining report from February. If I were to do it over, I would get the buffet instead.

We did the buffet there. We have always liked it in the past but this time it was pretty disappointing. Also the server we had was so talkative and annoying. I did a review. Honestly I wish we went back to the Swan for their breakfast buffet - so much better!

At least the Captains Grille is usually half empty so that is good. Hope you enjoy whatever you pick out.

I've had the ricotta pancakes texture issue also. It's like the chef didn't properly mix the batter or something. I sent them back, and did the buffet instead. The buffet has bread pudding and bananas foster sauce on it. I thought I was back at 'Ohana in the early 2000's, but for the lack of ice cream to go with it. Yummy.

This is one of our two favorite breakfast spots on property (the other is the Grand Flo Café). We at there MANY times during our YC stays. We love the buffet (the hashbrowns are amazing). We ordered a la carte one time, and while it was fantastic (I had a poached lobster omelette), once we tried the buffet, we stuck with that!

My family likes the buffet here. When we ate there last time, I contemplated a regular entree, but by the time you add a drink, the buffet is just a few dollars more, so I've only had the buffet!

We like that it's never crowded and it is easy to walk in. My kids love the variety here. I think it's better than most character meals.

When we've eaten here, we were staying at YC or BC. I don't know if I would travel here to eat though. We also really like the Dolphin's breakfast buffet, which is cheaper! On weekends it includes characters. We also really like the breakfast over at the Boardwalk Italian place.

We've eaten there many times when we are staying at the YC or BC. The location is convenient and the buffet is generally good. You can order custom eggs when you get the buffet and that is very good. It isn't my favorite breakfast buffet. Trail's End is our favorite one.

We have only been once and did the buffet but will be there twice our next trip so am thinking about ordering off of the menu. I was considering getting the dark chocolate waffles. How are they?
