Captains Grill at Yacht Club

We ate there in December, my daughter and I had the crab legs and they were delicious. My husband did not care for his steak but I think it was the sauce on the steak that he didnt like, and none of us cared for our desserts. The servers were very friendly but it took forever to get our food and it was not busy at all.

We just did the dinner last month. I havent written my review yet, but dh and I both didnt care for it at all.

The bread was good, For appetizers I had the crab cake and dh had the rock shrimp. My crab cake tasted like an old shoe. I had dh try some and he almost spit it out and told me to send it back. I did tell the server I couldnt eat it and she got me the rock shrimp too instead

I think I got a salad and that was fine.

We both had the steak. Dh was a little undercooked but he said it was ok. I ordered medium and really it was more like medium well. My potatoes were cold in some spots so I dont know if it was sitting there for a while, maybe since I had to reorder the app.

The dessert was o.k . Nothing special. I cant even remember what we had.

The one good thing was that our server was such a sweet person. I am sure glad we had the TIW card for the discount.

I dont know if we would eat dinner there again. We have also done the breakfast buffet in the past and that was good. Maybe we might try lunch next time. I did see alot of people getting the pork chop, but I really didnt think it looked that good.

We ate there last month. Three of the party had crab legs and say they were excellent; I had the veg dish and it was surprisingly good (eggplant, and I don't particularly like eggplant.) My aunt and uncle, who like GOOD food (esp meat) seemed pleased with their steaks and the crab cakes.

I will agree that service was slow. Sloooowwww. We had some allergies within our party so that was part of the holdup, but for whatever reason it just took forever.

That said -- I was quite nervous, since I picked the restaurant and know how my aunt and uncle feel about restaurants, but it turned out fine. They enjoyed their food, the seafood eaters loved the crab legs, and I did not starve to death on the veg dish (rotfl.) Bread was good, too. And the strawberry daiquiri -- virgin, on the ddp -- was AMAZING, I'm still talking about it!

A hidden gem. I stayed at YC over a dozen times before I finally tried Captain's Grille, but once I did, I really liked it. Food is quite good for a non-signature restaurant, service is prompt and efficient and it's a very relaxing meal (due to the fact that there is rarely a big crowd there). Well worth a visit if you have never been there.

we've always liked this meal! the bread is yummy! i always get the crab cake which i've found to be pretty good (i've since fallen in love with shula's and have trouble eating them elsewhere). for entrees, i always get the crab legs and they are awesome, he's had the pork chop and bourbon steak which he enjoyed both. for dessert, we're simple gelato people so you can't go wrong there!

I have eaten there twice. The first time was not good at all, but because I have heard great things about it, we decided to try it again. Unfortunately, the 2nd time wasn't any better. The service was great, the food, not so much.

I think it's perfectly fine place. Will it stick in your memory for years as a stand out? proably not, but we've never had any complaints.

We have been there for breakfast twice and it was just eh, nothing special

Had dinner there once when we were staying at the YC and it was very very good. If I am staying in that area I would no hesitate to eat there

Our family liked our dinner there. I had the crab cake and really liked it. My husband had a steak and I don't remember any complaints from him. I had the Key Lime pie and loved it. Service was slowwwwww.

I couldn't put it better. We picked it on a whim one night and were extremely pleased with the experience. We'll be back.
