Captains Dinner

Not sure what you're referring to. I don't recall there ever being a Captain's Dinner. On the 7 night voyages there is a Captain's Reception, where he is in the lobby for photos and there are drinks being served. Dinner on the last full sea day is usually called the Captain's Gala, but that's just the theme for the dining rooms, no special dinner with the captain.

I think the OP is referring to the old style traditional table in the dinning room where the captain eats and invites guests, DCL doesn't do that.

Not true. Some DCL captains do indeed invite passengers to dine with him at Palo. We've been the lucky recipient of several invites.

I thought I had read something about a Captains dinner but maybe it was the reception. I can be a flirt when I want to be  lol....I did love the Love Boat

Yes it happens sometimes. It mostly depends on the Captain. Some Captains even invite crew to dinner and candid chats about their work onboard, some captains never do.

When we dined at Palo's the captain was seated next to us with another couple so at least this captain dines with guests. Dining with the captain isn't my cup of tea, but it does happen. My guess is the more you spend, the better your chances.;)

Our CEO has lunch periodically with employees to chat. I hope yours are less stressful and more candid than ours.
