Captain Marvins Snorkel

Me and my dad I think want to do the stingray city snorkel. The morning one. My mom and 4 year old sister want to go to the beach, is there a nice beach like within walking distance of the ship where we could meet them after snorkeling? We though we would go on the tour and then meet them at beach near the ship. Does this sound like a good plan? What are some beaches really close to the ship?

My family and I did the 1/2 day snorkel at 10:00 a.m. I don't really remember any beaches really close to there, as you tender in at Grand Cayman so that area isn't really for swimming.
There is 7 mile beach not too far away, but it isn't walking distance. Captain marvins group was great about showing us this beach on the way to our boat. What are the age limits for the snorkeling? You may want to check with them. I can't help but think that Mom and Sis might enjoy those wonderful creatures as well, even if they stay in the boat. You might want to contact CM and see if they have a reduced fare for just riders.

We did Captain Marvins last week with DD's 4 & 8. The snorkeling was a little advanced for them because it was pretty wavy. They enjoyed the trip but spent most of the time on the boat. Instead of going back to their office, we asked them to drop us off at the Holiday Inn beach, and then we spent a couple of hours there. It is a very nice beach, with waiters walking the beach taking drink orders. From there we took a taxi van back to the port which cost $10 for the 4 of us.

Do you then just walk through the hotel to get to the beach? We are going to meet my mom and sister there. Where is a good meeting spot?
