On our first day at WDW, we are going to go to dinner at DTD before the 9PM La Nouba show. I really really love shellfish and really want some Lobster and/or crab. I know Fulton's is very high priced and will most likely be double what Captain Jack's cost. Does anyone have some opinions to help me make my decision?

Haven't been to Fulton's in several yrs, so it's not really fair to comment....but several yrs ago, we found it very highly priced with mediocre meals. Last yr we went to Cap'n Jacks without high expectations (due to the so-so reviews last yr)....we were SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!! It really turned out to be a great meal. Several of us had the twin lobster tails; they were delicious. Appetizers were great, too~~especially the crab cakes and spinach dip. Also ended up with the best service of our trip at Cap'n Jacks. My family has INSISTED that we go back in August.

I'm so glad to hear a positive review about Captain Jacks. We have an ADR here in October and it seems to be getting lots of bad reviews recently.

I just went to Captain Jacks a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious! I was on the dining plan so I got the lobster tails, which of course was amazing. I'd recommend it.

I went to captain jacks last september and got the twin lobster tails. they were very good!

We went to Fulton's in October 2006 and loved it, so we went back in May 2007. We were not as impressed and figured that we liked it the first time because we had been eating counter service all week (unable to get ADRs for that trip). If you are a DVC member, you can get 30% off of lunch, which is why we went back in May. We will not be going back to this one in the future, though. Nothing special.

We went to both Jack's & Fulton's on our last trip.

LOVED Jack's......HATED Fulton's.

The food at Jack's was very, very good, and Fulton's was "okay."

We have Jack's on our list for when we return next Feb.

We haven't been to Fultons since they took it off the dining plan because it is so expensive. However our first meal every trip to WDW is Capn Jacks. My dh loves the fish ( I am not a fish eater but like the non-fish food). On the dining plan you can get a lobster tail as a free add on so with both get them and dh eats them (even if he swears he can't eat that much LOL). One year we actual ate at Capn Jacks twice. Enjoy

We liked Capt Jacks, but the menu is fairly limited and if you're not after the lobster, it isn't anything exceptional. The salmon was good, but every TS restaurant at Disney seems to have a salmon dish! The crab cakes and key lime pie were amazing, though, and if you like a frozen cocktail, they have one that is sort of fuzzy navel-ish that is really yummy. :)

We're trying Fultons instead on our next trip, because I love crab but don't eat lobster so Fultons menu looks much better to me, but Capt Jacks was a nice meal that we all enjoyed.

Thanks you guys!!!! You helped me to decide to keep my Captain Jack's ressies for that night! Although it is the day prior to free dining, so I will have to pay OOP. I do however also have a ressie for there later in the week, so I will have twin tails twice. :cool1:
