Captain Hook's hook is where?

You know you've been riding Peter Pan's Flight too much when you start noticing the little things....like....on which hand is Hook's hook?

In the Battle on Captain Hook's Ship room, his hook is on his RIGHT hand.

In the Mermaid Lagoon room, Hook is standing in the croc's mouth, and his hook is on his LEFT hand.

I didn't evn noticed that..even thoguh I have been riding it alot too! But will have to check it out. Hummm seem like some might have been a litle sleepy while working...

I think it has to do with the creation of the items. Look at the "D" on hats and flying saucers. depending on which way you flip it, it looks backwards.

In the Alice in Wonderland ride. Sometimes the tea goes in the cup and sometimes behind the cup in the Unbirthday room. I guess that is just the way that crazy room is though.

What's interesting to me is that the characters in Peter Pan are 2D and the characters in Alice look 3D. Very obvious too. At least to me.

sadly, VMK must have messed this up, because we all know (or atleast the Peter Pan obsessed of us ) that it was his left hand.

I remember that part in the movie, haha. Wendy scolded John because he had the hook on his right hand but it was really his left. Someone ought to tell VMK about it...

However, I agree with Antonius in thinking that it has to do with which side you're facing and we're probably seeing it backwards.

Yes and Walt and his animators debated this and decided that the hook needed to be in the left hand so they could do better animation scenes with him.

He also managed to change his pants. In the Battle on Captain Hook's Ship, his pants are purple. In the Mermaid Lagoon, the pants are yellow.

Oddly enough, in some research i did on the attraction (to better understand the VMK version) a similar thing is in the actual ride. In the mural at the beginning of the ride the hook is on one hand, but when you actually see him in the ride, the hook is on the other hand... Maybe they were trying to match the attraction as close as possible? LOL
