Captain EO Closing December 6th!

I can't believe it! Why oh why do they torture us so? Does ANYONE know if it will be open the entire day Sunday December 6th, or will it have it's last run on Saturday December 5th? I am glad I will be in Orland that weekend!

As bad as the ride is, it's a fun little thing to do during the day and I might miss it just a little.

When they removed ours here in CA (for the 2nd time), it was nice to find it at ECPOT .... So I ended up with only 1 ... or was it 2 visits since I discovered it at EPCOT .... I tried to see it several times back in December, but that happened to be the day the film split, and they took our (DLR's) copy....

Well, my whole family - teenagers, too! - really love that show, in all it's cheesiness. In fact, when we told our almost 18 son year old that this would be the end of it, he asked us to try and find him a t-shirt on our next trip. He's almost worn out the rainbow tee he bought back in 2011. (I doubt we'll find one but we'll try.)

I'm sorry it'll be going, but I understand the parks can't stay static forever. They have to change.

I am so happy to see this go. Sorry MJ, you were great and it was fun for a while in the 80's, but FW seriously needs some new attractions. It is funny when you are on a bus and sometimes hear the spiel, "Hello everyone and welcome to EPCOT, don't forget to check out our newest attraction, The Seas with Nemo and Friends" They should take out new, because 2006 is nine years old. I'm so glad to see some changes with Soarin, but we need more great things in Imagination and Innoventions.

As limited as EPCOT is, Disney really needs to step it up and bring a major attraction to the Imagination Pavilion. With Figment slated to close, there will be only 6 major attractions remaining in Future World. Ellen, Mission Space, Test Track, Soarin, The Living Seas and Spaceship Earth. I don't consider "Living on the Land" a major attraction, just a time killer for Soarin FP return, and as Bob would say, Interventions is also nothing more than a time killer as well. Disney also needs to consider re-opening the Body Wars Pavilion as well. Talking about a park that's in desperate need of some love.
