I wil be going to the polynesian in april is captain cooks opened as I heard about renovations going on. I like to go there in morning for my coffee very conveinent

We just returned on Feb. 12th and Captain Cooks was the same as it always was. Just down the hall, all the walls are up and it is an empty corridor. But Captain Cooks is exactly the same as it was 4 years ago.

When they do close Captain Cooks (no official date yet), they will move it temporarily to Tangaroa Terrace that is near the arcade and Neverland Club. So, if you are on that side of the resort, it might even be more convienent for you.

Do you mean construction type walls like those that are used outside? If so that is new since January. When we were there those shops were closed as they have been for some time but you could peek in the emptiness here and there.

Does Anyone Know When The Renovations Will Start? We'll Be At The Polynesian Later In The Spring, Hope Captain Cook's Has Moved To The Tangarora Terrace By Then. I Can Remember When Tangarora Terrace Was A Full Service Restaurant And It Was A Beautiful Place To Have Breakfast Or Dinner. The View Was So Beautiful. Wish They Would Leave Captain Cook's There Permanently.

Kianga, do you remeber the little counter service place inside the same building? It is now part of the game room. It had decent full size pizzas and was very handy for those buildings although the menu was shorter than Captain Cooks.

We miss Tangaroa Terrace too. We especially enjoyed the breakfast when the option of a buffet was added. Let's see...Tonga Toast or a great buffet. Hard choice some mornings.

The walls were floor to ceiling as far as I could tell - never walked down that way as we were staying in Rarotonga.

Did you notice any work being done on any of the floors of Rarotonga? I ask because certain floors in Rarotonga were scheduled to start at the beginning of February.

TIA

Can anyone tell me about the food at Captain Cool's. I will be at the Poly for the first time in April and I have been wondering if it is good. Also is it considered a CS on the Dining Plan?

They were floor to ceiling when we were there the last two times but I think it was opaque plastic covering the chain or glass. I wondered if you meant wooden walls now.
