Thinking of trying lunch at Captain Cook's, I've heard good things about the Hawaiian flatbread and the pulled pork sandwich. Any thoughts?

We ate there a few times since we were staying at the Poly. It was very good. Staff was also very nice.
I am gf and they were very helpful with going through the menu with me.

We liked it, a lot and would make a trip there for a meal and a dole whip if staying somewhere with good transportation to the Poly.

We enjoyed eating there - had the pulled pork nachos and sandwich as well as the lobster roll.

We enjoy Captain Cook's. We like to watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the Poly, so we grab a bite to eat first.

People like to get ugly with Cap't Cooks on here sometimes but personally, I like it. Sure there can be some peak crowd times, but on the whole I love eating there. Some very good and flavorful menu options.

I have had less than positive experiences since their renovation (about 2 years ago.) prior to that, I loved it. Now, crowds and food quality make it just okay. A dole whip on the other hand, totally worth it. I would consider the other quick options, too... Kona coffee island, tambu lounge, Trader sams. I may eat at CC if I am staying at the Poly. I won't if I am not. (From a non-DDP, not into quick service diner.)

We make the trip to Poly at least twice every time. Tonga toast in the morning, and another time the aloha pork sandwich and the AWESOME pulled pork nachos with pineapple salsa. The pork is the same as what is served at the luau, and dole whips right around the corner!

It's fine. Nothing revolutionary that I'd make a special trip for. If you have other things to do at Poly. Like get a Dole Whip, watch fireworks, watch torch lighting, etc, then sure, plan to eat there. It's one of the better QS spots on property. Just haven't found a QS yet that I'd make a trip just to eat

It is definitely one of the better QS locations on property, DH and I will sometimes share a couple things if we are enjoying drinks from Trader Sam's on the patio. I must always hit it at a bad time though, because I have encountered some truly long QS lines here, I just don't think it is particularly well set up.

I love Captain Cooks. The nachos are great, and so are the meatballs. It's one of my favorite QS restaurants on property. It's proximity to Aloha Isle doesn't hurt, either.

Another fan of the pulled pork nachos here. Followed by a Dole Whip or a drink at Trader Sam's, and I'm a happy camper!

If you go at off hours, maybe. IMHO, worst QS on property. The food is fine, just mediocre, but it's so poorly set-up and so small. It gets really, really crowded. It's one of the reasons we won't stay at Poly anymore!

I had looked so forward to eating there, so last year when I went with my Chinese friend, we made a point of going. I had the Pho Noodle Bowl w/Shrimp, and I think it was the worst meal I've ever had at Disney (right behind the chicken curry at ABC Commissary)! If I ever go back, I will get the pulled pork nachos, the pork sandwich, or the flatbread.

I loveee Captain Cooks! Back in the day, my travel companion and I would pick a resort to have a QS meal at on our AK day since we were always done with that park so early. Captain Cooks was my favorite of all the stops we tried. The pulled pork nachos are possibly my fav QS meal on property. Give it a try if it fits with your plains!!

We loved Captain Cooks when we stayed at the Poly a few years ago! This was before the renovations so we'll see how it is when we're there next month.

Hi, I'm staying at the Poly in September. Since so many people say they really like the pulled pork nachos I was thinking I might want to try them but need to ask...are they at all spicy? Even a little bit spicy doesn't agree with me at all.

Thanks
