Captain And The Snow Day 14

Day 14 - Friday May 19th - Penultimate day.

We over slept this morning - the plan was to be at Blizzard beach for opening…by the time we woke up , it was almost time for opening, so no breakfast today we decided to get something at BB. When we got there the car park was only quarter full and the queue to get in the park was about 100 people long. It hadn’t opened yet - we had made it , phew. Stood in the queue for around 5minutes before the staff opened the turn stiles. Went in there , got a lovely set of chairs just by the wave pool, front row, not squashed like several rows behind , Yuk. Had a bob around in the wave pool - felt a bit daft lol. We queued for 20mins to get on the chair lift up to the top, no so bad the sun wasn’t on us it was hid behind the tree’s. Once up the top we admired the view and decided to do team boat springs, loved this last year…queuing time was 5mins. Hopped in and whoosh - we were down the bottom before you knew it!! Stomachs were rumbling now having not had any breakfast this morning - so we wanted something to eat, it was now more or less dinner time. I had a little cup of cookies, don’t know what they were called and the others had one of them swirly donut things, - cant for the life of me remember the name!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was covered In chocolate anyhow, it was very nice, I sneaked a taste. The weather was really hot today, I found it uncomfortable. So we all left having spent a couple of hours there. Once at the hotel the others decided they wanted to swim again lol - but I declined the offer and stayed in the room on my PSP!! (internet, gosh it was so slow, better next year though , taking lappy so maybe you might get life reports ). The afternoon went by and I eventually joined them down there, the pool was icy cold!! Mmm fantastic on a hot day like today! Hmm that afternoon I faced yet another fear - a helicopter ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (eek) We chose the one by the giant orange on the 192 in Kissimmee.

Sorry for the shakyness - I was very very nervous! Was the scariest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life - and yet one of the best!! It was fantastic seeing WDW in a different perspective.

We landed and I stopped shaking lol. Got in the car and drove to MGM. Some pics..

I didn’t go on any rides here tonight - didn’t feel too good, was nervous about the flight home tomorrow lol. Whilst the others went on rides, I got thinking - and I decided for the group (bossy lol) that we were too book an ADR in here for tomorrow at Boma’s - We went and did it, our first ever ADR. Booked for 8am. We said buh bye to MGM for another Year now. Went back to the hotel to collect something ….took a picture of my favourite channel………….. The weather channel! Lol

For Tea tonight we all decided we fancied IHOP - as we hadn’t been this year., and we had enjoyed it last year. We chose to go to the one Next to the hotel we stayed in last year - Howard Johnson maingate east.

Once in there I couldn’t stop playing with the solitaire kind of game thing lolol - I did it once. The menu in here was so nice, so much a fussy eater like me could eat!! But to be awkward I asked for chips and eggs (fries) - when it come, the eggs were still runny and I don’t mean the yellow!! Yuk - so she took them back (nice lady server) and they came back perfect - it was a fantastic meal, probably one of the best I’d had in Florida! Lol

Now - after we left there - that’s it!!!!!!!!!! The last full day was over - it was now time for bed - long day tomorrow!


Day 15 - Saturday May 20th - Final Day.

Free time check-in - Boma - MK - Wendy’s and flight home (sob)
