I have become sort of disconnected from the MCU ever since it became necessary to have encyclopedic knowledge of a dozen television shows in order to understand the action. They are pretty good movies though (Captain Marvel's visit to the Broadway musical planet notwithstanding), so I may attempt some catch-up before heading out to BNW.
When the Loki TV series first came out, I was visiting a friend and she and I started watching it. When I started asking questions about "Who's that?" or "What did he mean by that?" she suggested that we watch one of the past movies. Three movies later, I said, "I quit." We watched the rest of the season of the TV show, but I've only watched a couple of MCU movies since and I just accept that I don't know half of what's happening. I have no interest in trying to figure it all out.I can understand that. It's the same issue that comic books have really - the continuity eventually becomes too heavy and inscrutible. The comic nerds can follow it, but it takes effort.
DD saw it a few days ago. She said it was underwhelming, and could've been so much better/satisfying, not bad, still entertaining, just a let down for the buildup. Anyone else see it? I'll wait until it's on Disney+, but I"m still looking forward to it. I really enjoyed Falcon/Winter Soldier series, in my tops so far of all the series.
She's looking forward to the next Fantastic Four. I really don't know/care much about those characters, but maybe it'll be good.
I'm excited for Daredevil.
