Well, okay, my favorite site other than DIS! LOL It's www.orca-live.net. Very often you get to see the orcas rubbing on the rubbing beaches and feeding in the ocean. It is so relaxing just having Real Player open and watching them or listening to them call out to each other. I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do!

I had to bump this up...it is so cool to listen to the whales...and watching the kelp float around and fish swim by is soooooo relaxing :D

Thanks for bumping it up! It's such a wonderful site, especially when the orcas are swimming! The remote cam they have at the rubbing beach is great because they have sound, too, and you get to hear the orcas blowing through their blow holes. Amazing!

Great site!

I had to laugh when I saw the thread title. My concern was that my DW had sold pictures of me swimming at SAB on our last WDW trip and they were being posted on the CB!! :jester:

Oh goodness! I would hope that you have burned all those negatives. Pictures of me in swimsuits are definitely not allowed. :D

Wow - I absolutely love it! Thanks for sharing!

Should of thought to that! :o  :o

I found a link to a turtle cam too but it is dark right now, I'll have to check it out later.

I see! So cool!

They appear to be residents by thier dorsal fin. Residents eat fish rather than small mammals. Transients are more likely to eat small mammals. Transients tend to have longer pointier dorsal fins and residents have short curved dorsal fins. At least this was the thinking from research a few years ago. They are magnificent!

That is some great information MosMom. I had not seen that before, so now I'll be looking at those dorsal fins more closely. This is my second year watching, and it's just as exciting each time I see them. This will run until October sometime when they complete their migration.

6:19 - orcas on the rubbing beach - probably about 6 of them. It's beautiful.

Yes I agree, great site, thanks for the link

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I signed up for their email alerts. I got to see the orcas earlier and now I'm listening to them. What a great site.

You're welcome Laura! I figure it's my small contribution for all the wonderful things I've learned from everyone here! Your site is great, BTW. DH and I spent lots of time looking at all the great suites. :D

I did read that whole story. It makes me so sad! I signed the petition a few days ago. I hope Luna gets reunited with her pod soon!
