Greetings everyone! Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. This is my very first cruise and I'm so excited! But I am also a bit nervous as I'll be travelling solo. Hope to make lots of friends and meet other Disneyphiles!
Strangely enough, I recognize Steph (ScotnSteph) from a couple of videos that i found when i was researching the cabins on board. That is so cool. Thanks for the great info! toodles

I am willing to add them to my list. I intentionally have a few extra gifts just for that reason, but I do know we set a deadline so that people would have a final count at an earlier date. I don't want anyone to feel that they have to.

Hello and welcome!!! I hope you will join us for our DIS meet. That's so funny that you have watched my videos. Small world. I look forward to meeting you and hearing about your solo experience. I almost booked a solo cruise last year, but in the end a friend joined me. I would love to go solo sometime.

Any ideas for a quick fish extender? Don't have one...and we don't have much time!!!! I know what to get as little gifts...do you put names or anything on them? wrap? Might sound silly...but I haven't done this before.

Sounds like fun!!!! Can't wait!!!

I wanted to participate in the FE exchange, but I don't sew. I looked at ebay and didn't see anything I would want to buy so I put my scrapbooking skills to work. I visited my local craft store, Hobby Lobby, and gathered some items. I used a metal purse shape as my base and applied scrapbooking paper with Modge Podge and decorated with stickers and ribbon. It was a lot of fun to do.

So now I proudly present my non-traditional Fish Extenders....

Now I have to figure out how to hang these from the fish or I may just use magnets and hang them from our cabin door. I was thinking my DD's would be cute in her locker this year at school.

Some other ideas I have seen or thought about:

Get canvas bags from a craft store or even Walmart and decorate them up. They have a variety of styles and sizes of bags. You could even take some of the great ideas from the magnet threads and make an iron on to apply to a bag.

Even simpler would be to use gift bags and decorate with Disney stickers.

How about hanging office files?

I hope these ideas get you thinking. I literally just walked around Hobby Lobby looking for something to pop out at me. The little metal purses were on clearance for $1.12 and I couldn't pass them up. What could be more appropriate for a Mother Daughter Sweet 16 Cruise?

We *just* switched our reservations to BLT! We aren't DVC so it will be a cash reservation - we got a studio - standard view. We are VERY excited. We arrive a week from today!

Wow, we will see you there. We are also going to BLT on a cash reservation next week. We arrive Thursday 9/3 and are also staying at a BLT standard studio. We paid for DCL bus transfers to the cruise for Sunday 9/6.

Very cool! My little brother is there doing the college program so he keeps calling the reservation # for cast members to see what they have a good discount on! We started out staying at Port Orleans-French Quarter. That is where my brother works though - so he wanted somewhere different - we switched to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Then early this week he called and found a pretty good deal on BLT - so we went for it! My hubby has been wanting to stay there - and we have never stayed in a vacation club property before! Hopefully he doesn't change it again before next week - haha!

For my FE I bought 3 small craft bags in walmart. They are the ones they sell for you to customize, they usually are canvas and a cream color, but these I found were a black colored package. I bought inexpensive fabric and sew them together. You'll get to see them as pictured, since I'm not making another one. Hope you like it.

Hello all.. Im running around crazy right now trying to get all the last minute things done as we leave tomorrow as soon as I get off at 2:30..

brennansdisney and floridarogers-- I can add you guys to the FE exchange.. I may have to adlib a little as I had already done the shopping, but dont worry -- I'll get it done as we have a day in Florida before the cruise that I can finish up there..

Im hoping you guys will both be at the meet at 3 so I can reverify your cabin #'s as not sure if I will have internet before I get on the cruise next weekend.. I may be able to check back here before we go.. so hoping you guys will be there so I can make sure I go to the right place..

I hope everyone has a great trip down to Florida and stay safe!! We will see everyone at the meet at 3 pm!! Cant wait...
