Capitol One Bowl

I have a friend going to the capitol one bowl game on New Years day. She needs a recommendation on a nice hotel that is in the area of the game.

Not the op, but the Capital One Bowl is played at The Florida Citrus Bowl (official name is Orlando-Orange County Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium).

And on a side note : GO BADGERS!!!

So where is a good place to stay? My daughter may be heading down for the game, always like to help with planning.

FYI, there is really no place within walking distance to the Citrus Bowl. The complex (Citrus Bowl/Tinker Field) is in a really crappy part of town--definitely not safe to wander around in after dark.

I think the Wisconsin team hotel is the Peabody on International Drive - might be worth a try.

That's going to be $$$$ if you want it for NYE as well--they do a big "do" there.
